Markets carry risk.

Last updated: 3 November 2026

This page is educational. It does not provide personalized investment advice, a buy or sell recommendation, or a promise of returns.

Market risk

Equity prices can fall as well as rise. Company-specific news, earnings disappointments, policy changes, global markets, currency moves and liquidity conditions can all affect prices. You may lose part or all of the money you invest.

Short-term and intraday risk

Intraday and short-term trading can produce rapid losses. Leverage, if used, increases both gains and losses. Slippage, execution delays and gaps can make a stop-loss less effective than expected.

Liquidity and concentration

Lower-priced or thinly traded shares may be difficult to sell at the price you expect. Concentrating a portfolio in one stock, sector or theme increases the impact of a single adverse event.

Information risk

Public information can be incomplete, delayed or wrong. A research note is a starting point for your own verification, not a substitute for reading company disclosures or professional advice.

No SEBI registration

Dalal Street Brief is not a SEBI-registered investment adviser or research analyst. We do not manage money, execute trades or provide personalized recommendations.

Before you act

Read the risk disclosure of your broker, understand the costs and taxes that apply to you, and consider consulting a SEBI-registered investment adviser. Never invest money you cannot afford to lose.
